Sustainability

Good for
every link in the chain.

From the farmer's field in Uganda to your kitchen table, we try to take only what we need and leave things better.

What we do today

Simple on
purpose.

Our fruit is grown by Ugandan farmers and bought directly from them, so the money stays with the people who do the growing. It is hand-cut and dried in the Kampala sun rather than in an energy-hungry oven.

Nothing else goes in the pouch. No sugar added and no preservatives means fewer ingredients to source, ship and waste.

Farmer-direct

We buy from local Ugandan farmers, supporting their income and the communities around them.

Sun-dried

Drying fruit in the sun uses the energy that is already there.

Only fruit

100% Uganda fruit, nothing added, so every pouch is as simple as it can be.

Our packaging pledge

Packed with
less in mind.

Customers in Europe and beyond expect packaging to be as thoughtful as the food. These are the commitments we hold ourselves to. We will update this page as each one is completed.

Right-sized, nothing extra

We pack to protect the fruit in transit and avoid unnecessary outer boxes, fillers and inserts.

Resealable, so less is wasted

Resealable pouches keep fruit fresh without preservatives, so you can enjoy it at your pace.

Moving to recyclable materials

We are working with our packaging suppliers towards recyclable or compostable pouch materials, and we will say so on the pack and here once it is done.
